This is, so far, the best article ever written on the pandemic. That we are living through this is simply incredible. The old assumption that our governments will take care of our health is simply over.
We're being sacrificed for the comfort of the rich once again, and we shouldn't stand for it. We deserve those tools, and we've worked far harder than they ever have a day in their lives.
Thank you for this. I'm sharing as widely as I can and am being met with silence. So many uncomfortable truths and so much cognitive dissonance for so many.
I will be sharing this as widely as I can. It's the best summation of this calamity ever. Beyond this, the culpable must be named and shamed, including the many celebrities who have been so dismissive of the danger.
I've seen you on Twitter - will have to take more note of your writing there. Yes, this is one of the best overviews of what we have lived through for the past four years. What was new to me is some of the details about how rich folk are protecting themselves. Well, I'm not one of them so will continue to mask and be more isolated than I'd like.
Sorry this comment is so late. I'm wondering whether you've ever submitted any of your Covid articles like this to any online or print media? Yes, I know they're part of the problem (in general) and are buying into the governments' and corporations' messages, and some like Google even benefit from it. However, I think there are some that might be interested if for no other reason than you point out the huge discrepancies between the wealthy and not wealthy, which seems to be a hot topic these days in many liberal outlets. I think it's important that more people other than just your subscribers know the facts you report, because I can tell you most of the medical community who once recommended masks aren't wearing them, and some are even resentful of people who still wear them. (See recent piece in "Sensible Medicine" substack). The other thing I'm wondering is, if indeed the working class becomes decimated by this virus and can't work, where do the CEO's think they'll get workers from then? Are they the ones telling the migrants to come here and fill the open slots they know they'll have?

Also, thank you for writing this. I've been sharing it as it perfectly sums up everything people need to know!

Thanks for writing, this is important work.
I wonder if it is possible to find resources regarding other countries? Pakistan?
